Business Center of Decatur - About the Center

The Business Center of Decatur, which was created to nurture entrepreneurs, has joined forces with other local groups and agencies, i.e. Millikin University, Tabor School of Business,
SBDC, and Richland Community College, Illinois Department of Commerce and Community Affairs ("DCCA") to provide guidance, education and training to assist new or expanding businesses.

WHY DO WE DO WHAT WE DO?

The Business Center helps bring new businesses and new jobs to Decatur.
We give entrepreneurs the support they need to make it through those first
few crucial years. Nationally, only 18% of all businesses survive their first five years... but when they start out in an incubator, 87% of them succeed (according to the Impact of Incubator Investments Study, 1997). The Business Center can make the difference!
